Johnson Outdoors owns Scubapro and Uwatec. But, I think that Johnson Outdoors and Johnson Wax are two entirely different and separate companies ... at least I hope so.

Johnson Outdoors, Inc. (JOUT) and SC Johnson Company (the maker of Johnson's Wax) are two different companies.

One makes "Turtle Wax" and the other makes equipment to wax turtles.

Now that I think about it, SC Johnson does have an outdoor division. So ScubaPro is a Johnson company. Thanks for the tip.

WH...I thought he just stuck his finger (or car key) in his ear for that....

Just to be clear -- SC Johnson (maker of consumer goods such as Johnson Wax, Windex and Raid) and Johnson Outdoors (Scubapro, Uwatec, Aladin) ARE NOT RELATED.

SC Johnson is a privately held company.

Johnson Outdoors is a public company traded on the NASDAQ.

Both happen to be based in Wisconsin, to further confuse the issue.

Who can tell? Either that or pond scum for sure.
