Haha, I am right here, thank you very much for your reply. After thinking these days, I finally chose the Sony RX100 V. This article says this is a good choice and I like to try the latest stuff.

The article doesn't mention the VA that is the real successor of the V ...the VI doesn't offer any benefits underwater, instead it's worse (reduced aperture).
However the VA improvements are most firmware side, making the price difference a real penalization.
So you did it good to get a M5 after all.
