Hi Guys,
I've been diving for a couple years now. We just got back from a week in Bonaire. All good times, etc.... anyway. My BC is a Scubapro rec-tec, it works fine.. but I've noticed that on occasion, I've got to be real careful on getting the tank straps a lot tighter than my wife's Oceanic Probe with one strap and the rubber cover that helps grip the tank. My question is "can I buy a couple of these someplace?". I've checked the usual suspects (liesurepro and scubatoys), maybe I'm searching the wrong words.

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want these on the straps. As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take care,
Tim

I've found the Scubapro strap system, once adjusted, very easy to get good tension with as opposed to the standard cam band straps.

But if you want more traction and can't find the strap pads, buy some thin PVC sheets of the soft sticky type and glue a section to the tank cradle of your BC. You might look at other BCs, some of which already have molded in PVC sections, so you can see what to emulate.

Thanks a bunch guys for your replies. Very good info. I'll be ordering some up before my next trip for sure.

Take care,
Tim
