Swell models called for calm yesterday. The live beach cameras disagreed, so Merry and I fought our way against the swells this morning. We saw jellies during our last dive, so Merry wanted to go offshore for a bluewater dive. While she photographed salps, I enjoyed watching two small Mola Molas circle the down line.
Next was my turn. I enjoyed surprisingly good visibility at Golf Ball Reef while Merry bounced around in the growing swells. I could see twenty-five feet on the reef, where the common residents have made a comeback. I even found the smallest Felimare californiensis I've seen, about 1/8" long. There were even squid eggs in the sand.
