There is a great article starting on page 32 about Bonaire and its dramatics. Makes me want to go again because I probably miss 99% of the dramatics on every dive, just because I don't know what to look for. :(

Yea, they also give entirely too much credit to USVI in the latest Top 100 issue. More so than Coz. I would not go back there on a dare when there are many places that exceed what I experienced and that was supposed to be some of the best places in USVI. Vis was nothing to write home about and the reef life was quite sparse. I was warned before I went so my expectations were not as high as they might have been. I used to like the rag but don't give it much credit anymore. As many have said, they cater to those who have the advertising almighty dollar.

I had a few drinks with a gentleman (i can't find his card...) that owns a business called Wild Side Divers. they dive off the windward side of the Island and it sounds great.

I am thinking about taking an excursion there from Aruba this February to check it out.

Julie, his name is Larry and you probably had drinks with him at Mona Lisa around 5pm Monday - Friday. Larry is a great guy and very safety concious. He took my girlfriend and I on 4 dives on the East side...AWESOME!!! In fact, I recommended O-rings group to look him up while there down there. He should have his brand new boat by then......this boat is a military like special operations raft that is priced more than most of the homes in my area, suppose to be rock steady in the sometimes harsh waters of the East side.

We are going to dive with Larry on our return trip to Bonaire...thats for sure.

Here is a link for you..

I thought the issue was way off-base. I mean they had the USVI in for wall diving? Are you kidding me. I also thought Bonaire was too hevily weighted.

I read and enjoyed the latest Scuba Diving. To me it is kinda like cartoons, if you don't expect too much it can be a lot of fun.

I guess the Top 100 are from reader surveys. Some of the votes I am sure are form those who don't have enough experiance to have much of an educated opinion.

Rodales Scuba Diving is pretty good eye candy.
