Best conditions in a long time
no seas slight current
80 degree water
Blue water 80 plus feet viz!
It appears Icare which works alot with Key Dives has done some restoration coral planting
Nice amount of staghorn plantings
Something I haven’t noticed, plantings on dead brain corals(not sure what was planted photos later)
Nice assortment of marine life
Turtles everywhere a few mating on the surface
Groupers and really nice schools of fish
Hopefully a few pix to post

I wonder just how many species of coral are used in the restoration efforts? Most fragments I’ve seen on ‘coral tree’ setups in Bonaire looked like stag horn to me.

They predominantly been using Staghorn and Elkhorn
I did read in the local papers that they were also going to use star and mountain coral now also

Looks like great conditions; what was depth of that shot of boat, looks pretty deep and clear!
I was at 25 feet no deeper
