Got a question for everyone........
Remember those 'older' rocket fins that sometimes had spring fin straps????
I was just wondering if anyone had any idea where I could find those spring fin straps to put on my new Turtle Fins....
Thanks.....

I think a board member (Boogie711) also has plans/ kits for the spring straps. Try him on the board-- I built a pair or two for about $20.00 a set. As long as you have an industrial supply store in your town your set.

I have them in stock, both the 5th D version 60.00 and the Halcyon version 99.99

Tom

Ill be coming by the store sometime thiss weekend tom, im from north of barrie, but am diving in k-town with the dive club im with.. itll be fun, but i want to check out the dive shops in the area, havnt decided on a drysuit, or a twins rig.....oh well......

Last time I priced the springs alone they were around $30 Canadian. Still I wouldn't mind making a set for the fun of it more than anything. If you have found them cheaper that'd be cool!

I guess I need to factor in how long it takes. It doesn't take too long for $30 in springs and perhaps $10 in various parts to creep up to the 60-99 dollar once you factor in your time.

Regardless, Cliff. Wondering if you could post a parts list and where you got them so those of us that might want to play with this concept can try.

Thanks.

why make it yourself its so much easier to walk into NTD and plonk down CDN$60
I might buy a pair this Sunday. I am sick of getting seaweed stuck in my rubber straps
Just reverse your straps through the buckles and duct tape the ends back.

Presto
