My most memorable Belize moment involved finding a dead Parrotfish (an ex-parrotfish) and feeding it to a 10'+ long Green Moray. I know they don't grow that big, but we measured it and you can argue that with him. This Parrotfish measured 18". The Moray swallowed him in one gulp.
OK, I don't get it ... the parrotfish is dead, and the moray is alive, right? I'm trying to get a picture in my head of you measuring a live moray of some significant length, and actually being able to come up with a number!![]()
actually, green morays in particular are easy to measure if you have an exposed tail.
Herbie's is one of the best at the very west tip! One of the best walls! I have done both Roatan and Belize many many times! I would chose the Live-a-Board in Belize first and then Roatan! Just experience! You can do Roatan much cheaper that is for sure and I like the north side of the island for diving a little better! I love Spooky Channel and Bears Den is fun! AKR's Dolphin Dive is one of the best! I use Bay Islands Beach Resort and like the homey feeling! You can compare both at our site with pictures and videos:
