One good thing about being on the south side, with north winds the seas are relatively flat. It's the south winds that will bring the white caps, big swells and seas. North wind = good!

Great,

I have no problem in 4-6 foot seas, I dive in them off of the coast of North Carolina all of the time. I just hope the boats at Fantasy Island Resort won't stop going out unless it's really bad. By the way, those great shore dives are near FIR also aren't they? Isn't Mary's Wall somewhere around there? I heard there's a plane and a wreck there. And if it's really really bad, what can you do on land, go eat or drink somewhere at the west end? I have no problem with that either.Matt

Oh, Um-hmm. Kind of, no, kind of. Not much, less when it's raining. Yes, you can always drink.

We'll still be diving.

Today Dec 8,2005 water temp 80 deg... Unless there is a global weather shift water temp will not go below 75....

The Inn of Last Resort is one of the North side ops that will be sure you get to dive by bussing you to the South side if weather is bad..........

Most of the North side operations will do their best to make sure that you will get at least two dives in, if a Norther comes in. But then staying at FI you be needing that. Will you? I am sure you will have a great time at FI. IMO I would take just the 5mm I've heard it's cold.
