As mentioned earlier, Media Luna is not to be confused with a full-fledged dive resort. It is a resort that caters to vacationers, but the owners recognize the attraction of the pristine reef environment to scuba divers and have contracted with Aqua Adventures to provide on-site dive operations.
For those divers with spouses or families who don't dive, the resort provides a viable alternative to the hardcore dive resorts that operate on the island. There are many ways for visitors to keep themselves occupied without diving. Personally, we have settled into a routine of requesting bungalows right next to the dive shop and we just spend most of our time on that side of things. So we don't get in the way of the water aerobics or pool volleyball games or other fun activities that are conducted at the pool and reception areas. At meal times, we stroll up to the restaurant and hang out for a while. There's an open bar on the huge back deck overlooking the bay and Caribbean beyond. It's a great place to enjoy included wine or cocktails and enjoy an amazing sunset before dinner.

There are shows each evening at 8:30. Most people stick around to watch and participate. I usually make it a point to leave before the show starts so I can get back to the bungalow and make sure the day's photos are downloaded and the batteries are all charged and ready for the next day's dives. Yep...I'm a REAL party animal
Speaking of the bungalows, they are pretty comfortable. Each is its own little building - you are not connected to other rooms. (Unless you have a "suite", which is adjoining rooms that can accommodate a family) They are furnished with either two queens or one king bed, a closet, safe, refrigerator, television, bathroom with rain shower, two sinks, toilet and bidet, and a patio with table, chairs and a hammock. Here's what they look like:

I am unable to upload any more images to this post, so I will continue with photos of the boats and dive shop in the next post...to be continued
