Hubby and I are experienced divers (DIR, Tech, gills, etc) and we want a trip with nothing but diving and eating. Sleeping is optional :D.

Note: We won't be doing any technical diving. Just Nitrox recreational profiles.

You might contact Will at BayIslandsDiver.com He's one of the most qualified tech divers on Roatan, and he'd probably have some advice for you. You might even be able to get some tech diving in if you wanted. He teaches and DMs at Coconut tree.

I don't think anyone could both a) dive everything they wanted, or b) get sick of the atmosphere in the west end in two weeks. 16 days in May diving with Coconut tree was not enough time at all. I could have used another month for sure.

I believe there are two DIR, High tech/Deep-Cave divers at Coconut tree. Will is deep diver instructor, and Mark is a Cave/wreck diving instructor.

While I am a rank amature (advanced with like 20 dives) I can certainly pick out a retard who is bs'ing, and these guys are not.

West bay made my butt itch to be honest, I could not be bothered to go over there if someone was picking up the tab. My vaycay time is far to precious. The food in west bay is a step below appleby's, if that is "sort of a compliment" then you might like it over in west bay.

For accomodations I suggest having a spot nearer the water than the jungle, the jungle is SOOO loud you have no idea.

The corals and critters on the south side are amazing (from what little I saw on the shark dive which is hardly anything), and the geography and large life are certainly a must see all over the north side from West end.

In 16 days I only dove the same site twice and went out of my way to do so.

We stayed at Fantasy Island in Roatan for 2 weeks in February. We had a great time and really enjoyed the diving. My husband did 38 dives and our 3 kids (12, 14 & 16) and I dove between 30 & 35 times. We plan to go back again. We found our DM, Mark, & boat captain, Pedro, to be top notch.
