Well nuts...that is Derby weekend. I love Mermet and it will be the best vis all year, but gotta pass. Please PM me if going later this year.

Sorry to hear you can't make it!
I've got a TV in the ScubaVan if you really, really need to see the fastest 2 minutes in sports. I went to Thunder, after that, it is all down hill!

Sorry I can't go either. I'd love to, but I have to work to pay the bills (man bill must be rich by now- it seems like its the place where most of my money goes these days). Also let me know if you all plan another trip there at any time. Have fun!

Hey Chris,
Are you ready to go?? Looks like we will leave here around 12:00 on Friday. Just one thing I need to know, where the heck is Mermet?????

Kenny

I'll email you the map/directions and the link to the hotel later today.
I'll probably be on the road around 4:30, gotta work, darn-darn-darn!

Have a great time guys! I was considering the trip but I have my first real good opportunity to go to the Derby. (I figure if you live in Kentucky you oaught to go at least once! A neighbor's company has a tent in the paddock, so couldn't pass.) I am planning on being at Joe's on the 13th - hope to see some of you guys there! I just got my first set of new gear in and can't wait to embarress myself in front of everybody!!

K2, I don't think I could pass on that one either. The only reason I even
consider going to Thunder is due to my company reserving a restaurant.
I don't think I could ever stand going to the great lawn or the infield for
either of these events. Have a GREAT time! We will see you out at Joe's!

Sorry guys but I seriously doubt that I will be able to make it. The General foreman says that we will be working the next three Saturdays. The weekend after that is the Memorial day weekend. I WILL have three days for that one. So, are we diving at Joe's MD weekend? Anybody posted about this?

I haven't seen a post, but put me in for Joe's on MD weekend. I should be able to make that one.

Land Locked - I've avoided Thunder for several years - I don't worry so much about the crowds as the nightmare street mess for the exit. I do want to take my boys down for the air show in the next year or two before they get out of the "gee whiz" years.

We got a late start and ended up watching the Blue Angels from the parking lot on the
bridge. When we finally got accross the river they were done. The Air Force had some
no-shows which I really wanted to see, and the shortened 26 minute firework show, I
should have stayed home this year. I hope next year is better! We just chilled out for
an hour after the show and let the traffic settle down.
800,000 people this year at the waterfront was amazing!!!
