Dive #146 and #147 from the new dive boat our of Dana Point Harbor. Very nice boat and not too crowded. Capt. Paul and 1st Mate Brandon provided great service. The first divesite was Deadman's Reef. Vis was 8-12 ft and surge was 1-2 ft. The current and surface waves were a bit strong but at least there was no surface swim out from the shore. The 2nd dive was the kelp bed off Salt Creek Beach. I was doing a Peak Performance Bouyancy dive and the conditions were much better (more protected). I would highly recommend the new Riveria Dive boat out of Dana Point.

RIVIERA CHARTERS IS LOCATED IN DANA POINT, CALIFORNIA
3671 Puerto Place | Dana Point | CA | 92629
866.400.3483 Fax 866.400.8822

It is operated through Beach Cities Scuba Dive Shops located in Dana Point, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Cypress.

Very spacious and clean boat that uses licensed instructors for DMs and Captains. They have a new wreck dive spot with a fully intact 90 foot vessel. A secret location that no one else knows its location. Beautiful white anenomes, strawberry anemones and lots of soft coral and fish.

Local diving is very convenient because it only takes 1/2 a day. Hope this helps answer your question.

The ACE wreck out of Dana Point is totally awesome. There was 30 to 40 feet of visibility and the photo opportunities were fantastic. Go to Riviera Yacht Charters to see a video of the wreck under scuba diving and there are also still photos on the News page. It is about 90 feet in length and totally in tact. A natural wreck.

I'm looking to try that boat out this year, for sure.
