So.....just for fun.... :D

If any of you are curious what the shore dive sites in RI look like right now, it stopped raining long enough for me to take some pictures when I was driving home from work today. It is actually calmer than yesterday but I didn't have my camera then.

First one, this is Hazard Ave:

Pier 5

And Narragansett Town Beach (Narragansett Beach Barge Wreck)

Holy ****! Wanna go diving??? :D :11:

I cannot believe that is Hazard!!!! So much for a quick dip this w/end....I might as well hang it up for a while....geeez!

Thanks for the info....just saved me some gas........

Yeah having been there it sort of puts the scale of those waves in perspective doesn't it? The rock that wave is breaking over is probably 10-15 ft above the water on a calm day! :D

Here is the marine forecast cut and pasted from the National Weather Service that goes with those waves:

E WINDS 20 TO 30 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 KT. SEAS 8 TO 11 FT. RAIN.

That's nuthin....when I was a kid, we used to dive in surf 3 times that bad, and we'd carry all our gear on our backs and jog to the dive site, sometimes over 10 miles one way, and we'd be barefoot and it would be uphill both ways, and.....ok, ok, enough with the BS....those conditions are just nasty! Whaddaya think vis would be like :D
