Vin,

Here are some for Newport Area.

Lands End off Bellvue ave at start of cliff walk.
Kings Beach
Brenton Reef
The Arches of Gooseberry Island though you need a boat or be willing to swim 700 yards
Fort Adams State Park behind Eisnehower House (this is on the bayside)
Fort Adams State Park Brenton Cove (Newport side)
Fort Wetheril State Park in Jamestown

There are several local shops that can help you with locations. Newport Dive Center and Let's Go Diving, Newport Dive Center is located on Thames Street in Down town Newport. In Jamestown there is Ocean State Scuba. You could pick up copies of the two RI dive guide books Adventure diving I and II at any of these locations. They would have directions and descriptions for all of the dives, I've mentioned. I believe Newport Dive Center may have descriptions on its web site also. You can get there by my clubs link. Http://www.rogueislanddivers.org and look for the local dive shops link.

Hope this helps
Dave
