We will be diving with Blue Angel Feb 12-21. We stay there every year and love the trip. The DM's have always let us pick our dives and really watch the divers skills. My son was a well skilled diver on his first day there and after a couple days they started putting us in different groups so we wouldn't be held to easier dives. He even went diving without me, not bad for 13. When he was smaller they made sure they had 60's for him to. The hotel has been as good as the diving. We also like that everything is on site. No running around and feeling rushed. If you want it to be a little quieter ask if a room on the 1st floor and far end is open. We still like being up higher for the view. I like the tank noise in the morning, for me it adds a little more, being as I am up by 5am everyday it makes no difference. We usually walk to town, it's good to keep our legs warmed up after the dives. We always do the shore dives and try at least one at night. The ray prison has helped as posted, still sad though. If I want to see them I'd rather it be diving.

Can't Wait!
How far is the resort from the town? Can one walk or do you need to take a cab?

Thanks

Blue Angel is about 1.5 miles south of the ferry pier. The sidewalk is nice, and it is an easy and relaxing walk from town. I recently stayed at Safari Inn (next to McDonald's downtown) and walked to Blue Angel each day. It took about 30 minutes.
