Was only saying that with a computer running your calcs in the background, it doesnt spit out a pressure group ala the tables and wheel - then the little box for your PG becomes kind of obselete. Kind of a joke.

As for what i note, when diving tables or not, i put a max bottom time/turn pressure for the a range of depths near to that anticipated in the plan (particularly if it is a new site) and keep an eye on the watch, depth etc to check the plan, then make as nice an ascent as i can sometimes making stops on the way up, but not counting them in BT. The computer is still in the mail, so still waiting on that one.....

Your dive computer might have a "PLAN" mode (as my Suunto Mosquito does) that lets you preview the NDL time at various depths as H2Andy said.

Or even the "SIM" mode of the cobra where you can simulate a whole dive complete with tank pressure, ascent rates, and every alarm you can throw at it.

(Strangely when I, just for fun, simulate dives to 300 feet on an 80 I actually start panicing when it starts beeping ascent alarms and low air and the like. I get short of breath and nervous... until I remember that I'm sitting on my couch.)
