Resealable fasteners for scuba diving: Velcro or 3M etc

Hi everyone, my first post, so forgive me if this has been discussed or isn't the type of thing usually discussed...
I'm looking for a resealable fastener to attach external components to my plastic camera housing that has an adhesive on the back that is 100% waterproof, so it stays stuck on, even after lots of diving.
I tried "Velcro Extreme Outdoor" but it came unstuck after just one dive! Any suggestions? Or alternative ways to attach lights, filters etc to your camera housing? Any feedback or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Electrical tape can last for years if applied well.
