My rescue class is $175 and includes the manual. This is the SEI DRAM which is an evolution of the old YMCA SLAM course. The original rescue class. You do need First Aid and CPR. I do not teach that. Not enough call right now for me to go for the rating as an instructor and you can get Red Cross or AHA cert in those around here for $25-$40. Tough to compete against that. O2 provider is part of the DRAM course and I do teach that. The DAN courses are optional but if you have the funds worth it.
I got my pocket masks for $12 each from our work place vendor that stocks the cabinets. You could get them on Ebay for that.

All in all it's not that bad a deal but I;d look elsewhere for a Red Cross course in FA/CPR/AED and save $100 bucks. As a lifeguard you should only need a refresher.
