Required Underwater photographer

Hello!

My name is Alex and I have a concession of photography and videography in a marina in Cancun (Mexico), as I´m expanding I require of more underwater photographers and videographer to cover the operations ... I hope this is the right place to have this ... But basically I look for someone that is at least an open water diver with minimum 20 log dives, I`m willing to train them and help them to reach professional level if they wish, I only need someone that is qualified to dive and willing to learn ... ... by and large we do have a lot of work and the next 3 month is going to be very busy ... so if you want to dive for free, learn about diving and became an underwater photographer and videographer, just contact me A.S.A.P.

BUT one thing ... I`m extremely fear but very strict, I do require for you to take care of the equipment as if it was your best girlfriend ever (you want to marry her), you must speak English, be friendly BUT professional (no flirting with tourist), punctual and so on ... I will not give second chance to people that do not take this as a serious job.

Well, if when you finish school you can contct us, because we normally are allways looking for someone.

We can`t offer full time work, because the diving work is very impredictable, for example weather lately has been bad, so 1 day port was closed, the following day, it was too bad to take photos (too much sedicment around), the 3rd day the same ... so you can work for 1 week non stop and then have 4 days off, and all of the sudden have 1 month with out a day off ...and then 3 weeks low ...
as summer comes we should be quite bussy, but in the end of the day we can only have frelances that they work when we required them ... it is the same with ourself ...

We offer at the moment 30%, of the comissions and we can pay as you wish, weekle, or when we get pay, because we edit, do the delivery, get the moneys and then pay you the following day if you wish ... One rule of thumb,you break you pay ... so if you break the camera, if you flow the camera you have to pay for it ... when I started and they told me that I go really scare, but then I saw why? if you really take care of your equipment it dosen`t happen! once it happen to a person, but it was because he set up the equipement with out much care, and he admit to it ... I`m 1 year in this and nothing ever has happened ... ...

As it is dificult to find "expirienced" photographers and videographers, we do not aspect to find epople that know how to take pictures ... we train them, and if you want the qualification it self, you just pay us the paper work and so on ... so, no body has to show a portafolio or nothing like that ... in the begining it takes practice, but very soon one starts getting the general knolage and idea on how to do it, the main think is compossition, so you come to me and I show you several photos for you to see examples on how to take fotos here in cancun ...the must important think if for you to be a good sells person, because many times they not only buy because they like the pictures or video, but because they like "YOU" ... At the begining they told me I took horrible pictures, but I had good composition, good eye and an excelent seller, so indiferent on how horrible my pictures came I sold them, now I take much better pictures and I just LOVE IT ... it is a challange everyday ... I have take pretty decent photos of arrow craps, But I`m in search of the "perfect one" I want a particular shot and I will get it ... jejeje ... but ofcourse, divers are the main object to take photos of ... but we show you ... never the less you do have to have a good eye ...

no Steve, we do not offer food or lodging, Mexico dosen`t work like other countries like Australia ... When I came first I tought that maybe I could get free diving and training (maybe some pocket money), food and a back room somewere like they do in Australia ... but no, here everyone works on comision base and you don`t get nothing else ... and you must have your own insurance and own equipment aswell ...

We take care of any editing and delivery, so no problems there, the person that took the photos or video has nothing to worry in that aspect.
