I always wondered how fundies was conducted in Mexico. Do they stay mainly in the Cenotes or do you do dives in the ocean?

Man, talk about a way to give somebody motivation to finish (and pass) the class! And from what David says, he got the cave bug in a big way, too :)

Cenotes only. Fundamentals isn't about getting dives in, it is skills practice in 15' of water since it is tougher at shallower depths.

I dont know this for a fact, but I would be suprised if they went anywhere besides Pondarosa for the four days of class.

Some other bit of information that I thought was cool on their class. In the middle of it they took some time off to do some cavern tours. How cool is that!

Very cool indeed!

Congrats David.

For my class, we did 2 classes in Eden, 1 in Carwash and then our graduation dive at Angelita, which was a treat apparently :)

Yes it was pretty cool!!!!!!!!

At first we supposed to do 2 days course then 2 days relaxing on cavern tours and then taking the last 2 days course, but there wasn't any relaxing there, we keep all six days on lectures, practice and discussions, so for me it was a six day course, Daniel never gave us any chance on that... for me is something I really thank him cause we have really fun dives besides we keep learning all the way long, on my q/p form on the gue I made the comment that I can't imagine how hard can be this course on 4 days since it's a bunch of data, and skills, etc..

About the dives they were all on cenotes, quite, clear water, can't imagine trying to made any of the skills by the first time and dealing with even a mild current
Ponderosa day 1,2,3 and 5, taj mahal day 3 dos ojos day 4 and carwash day 6
I almost knew all them except the ponderosa, but who ever have made cavern dives there know you always dive for the first time those places

Finally yes I can't way for my cave course, but there's still a road ahead, first get the tec pass, second get a dry suit, seems that it's all for the next year

Hope you dive well
David
