Does anyone have an idea where I can get a new diffuser that goes on a PT-027 housing in front of the built-in flash (the little white plastic piece that slides into the "boxish" looking part of the case in front of the flash)? Mine is at the bottom of the ocean somewhere by the Hilma Hooker in Bonaire.

Olympus doesn't show it as an available replacement part. They said to call a company called Akolite(?) but didn't know how to spell it or have a number for them. I tried a number of spellings on the internet with no luck. I'll bet I'm not the only one who has lost one as it just slides in and never was very secure.

Thanks for any help.

How about making a suitable substitute? Maybe a piece of a plastic can top (pringles comes to mind)??

Go to TAP plastics or similar store. They can cut you a nice piece of frosted plastic to fit. You can probably even get a spare in red to use with a strobe.

That does look like my best option. Good idea getting a red piece to try with my Strobes. Unfortunately I haven't seen Pringles with red lids. Whole new marketing campaign for
Pringles.
