Hard to tell by the post but is it the rubber seal that tore or did the fitting tear from the blatter? If it’s the rubber seal that’s easy and if it’s the blatter that’s more of an issue.

Thank you all very much!! Really appreciate your advice and suggestions.

So I showed the BCD to a local dive shop where I got my wetsuit, fins and other stuff, and was told it would require high temperature/heat if I wanted it to be fixed properly, and I might have to send it back to Sherwood.

Basically, I'm buying a new one, and your suggestions earlier came in handy :)

Nice, you are gonna get new gear :)

Which BCD are you gonna buy ?

Mares hybrid seems promising based on my initial search. Open to suggestions.

But I probably wouldn't buy it now until close to my next trip, which I'm still looking. I figure I shouldn't waste warranty time while having it sit in my storage

That makes sense.

Having to bum equipment on dive site sucks, and it is usually someone else’s second stringer. Replacing it after a second failure was a the right call, but I would have been looking at it sideways after the first failure.

A BCD failure can put you in the situation of looking towards your back up buoyancy, usually that means ditching weight (but let’s not get into the perfect trim topic). IMHO, The best option would have been to move it to the things I need to upgrade column after it needed to be glued.

80 dives isn’t a particularly large number of dives, but how it is used, stored and rinsed will have a big effect on its longevity.

I have a Oceanic BCD and the hose end is brocken at the top where the hose connects into the BCD on the left top. I’m wanting to repair it but not sure if just needs the hose is to be replaced or the whole dump valve looks like a one piece unit. I would appreciate any advice or help in this matter on what’s need to repair it properly.
