Repair kit prices

Since only SP techs are supposed to be able to buy SP kits, lets say that someone I might know was hypothetically buying SP kits from someone on a large hypothetical website devoted to buyng and selling, let's call it "e-buy", what would an average fair price be? Would about $15 for a typical (say MK10, G250, R190, etc) annual kit be about right?

It's pretty much the going rate for the more common first and second stage kits. That is however also way to much for an R190 kit, but they are hard to find for less money.

Some of the less comon kits go for around $20.00.

Hypothetically speaking, only SP dealers would be selling to SP techs on the website "e-buy" as far as SP knows. $15 would be the going price.

Before Scubapro put the screws to Diveinn ("authorized" SP dealer in Spain selling on the internet) about 8 years ago, the Mk2 & R190 kits were available for $6 to $8 each. With the R190 and other 2nds using the std hockey puck seat, trident and probably other aftermarket manfufacturers have seats that will do the job. O-rings and nyloc nut are openy available from a number of sources. Same goes for the older BP 1st stages where other mfgr HP seats can be used. Problem come in with the balanced 2nd and newer 1sts and the unique seats. That is one reason for not upgrading the 109. It gets you a barely noticable improvement in performance that locks you in to the SP LP seat.

Edit: Found a June 2002 invoice from Scubastore (Diveinn): Mk2 kits @ $5 and S600 kits @ $9. I'd assume that has a 25% or more markup.
