Damn are we safe nowhere.
I posted the set of Worthington tanks I have listed here on Craigslist the other day with my phone number as a contact method (via text). Within say 5 minutes I get 2 texts asking if they are still available could you please email me @ XXX@xxx.com I responded to the first on via text that they were available response was please send email. So I decided to have a little fun sent quick email stating they were available. Got back the oh we are busy and can't get there but will send a cashier's check for full price + $70. You all get the picture. My response was let's just say not polite nor could I post it here without the MODs deleting it due to the use of profanity. Oh and i informed them that a copy was sent to the FBI fraud reporting division. Had a blast doing it and surprisingly didn't hear back.

Folks stay alert out there and remember if it sounds to good to be true it IS.

How do I do that? It was a DM

A ScubaBoard Staff Message...

Yes, stvn123 is a scammer and so was patkukin. stvn123 has been reported to the police by one of our members here. He has created a number of accounts and we try to hammer them as soon as we discover them.

I get so darn Tired of that!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

So, long story short, if you get a referral or deal from "hermanj123@aol.com" don't do it...
Great! A little too late. I got a DM from @stvn123 referring me to hermanj123@aol.com for a Deep 6 excursion dive computer, that I was looking for and had posted a want to buy add.
He sent me several pics of it and I sent him $200 via Paypal friends and family. Was told he would ship it this evening? Guess I'll find out then. After reading this thread I contacted my credit card company but they said that they have to wait until the charge goes thru to file a dispute.
This is the DM I received from @stn123 :
Have you checked with Herman via hermanj123@ aol.com,He has a Deep 6 Excursion Dive Computer he wants to part with

Truly, if these a-holes would work this hard at REAL work, they'd be millionaires! Jerks. @DirtFish, I hope you get your computer or your money back. Most of the time, people are pretty cool. But sometimes they just stink.

I've been posting it for a bit, but you can really save yourself the hassle by sending money for G&S but use a calculator to add the extra charge. I just chalk it up as cheap insurance and what do they care.

Here's an example of sending $50; I can live without an additional $2.32
