Any idea, what kind? Shot these on our last Aruba trip, at Malmok. Posted more detailed pics in the gallery, in case you'd like to take a look.

Thanks, Andi

Now that is something you don't see everyday!

Yeah, pretty special. My wife actually found it while waiting for me to finish up, taking endless shots of a large Porcupine Fish in a deep crevasse.

The Ray had obviously been caught on a hook(you can see the steel leader with some fleshy stuff on it right behind the 'skull' in shot #2), and probably tore the line in the nearby rocks... Needless to say, once again I kept my wife waiting, don't wanna know what she said when we finally got out ...

Off topic but we just returned from Roatan and saw 3 things I have never seen before 1. A turtle pooping (sorry but true - and yes I know they do but never saw that before) 2. Two hawksbill turtles fighting over a spot to eat (actually one bit the other on the neck and that one took off) and 3. The best of all! a green moral attacking a lionfish - and actually someone else saw another doing so.

Hey, that's why this stuff never gets old, right? ... BTW, checked out your site, great pics!! Thanks for sharing ...

Now, if only someone could tell me something about that Ray, ... or what's left of it ...

Well, just WAG on my part but I'd place a small wager on it being a Southern Stingray. And then cover my behind with a side bet on Caribbean stingray.

Should visit the Pub sometime, sounds like you'd fit right in ...

Was thinking along the same lines, the 'imagined' shape kind of fits, disc width is about 18"(calculated that based on the bottle lid lying next to it), only thing that threw me off was, that the stinger seems to be positioned too far up on the tail. Let's see, if we can get anyone else to put some money down ...
