I think Zeagle products are great.
I am now in the process of looking at new regulators. Using an old sherwood and was going to upgrade to a new Sherwood. The main reason is that many times in dive boats and remote locations, the Sherwoods were simple enough for someone to be able to repair or service. Parts were easy to find or someone had access to spares.

I am curious about Zeagle regulators and have seen a spare part kit at ScubaToys. Since most of my diving is in remote places, I am wondering how easy it may be to do a basic repair or service on a Flathead (of course.........I know nothing is ever supposed to fail!)

Zeagles are the easiest regs I've worked on. They are super easy, very reliable, and other than hook spanners, you dont need any special tools. I have 4 of them right now, simply because they are easy breathing, reliable, and very home service friendly.

Be sure they are Zeagle's spanners.
Off the self spanners will break and monkey up the 2st stage.

When I worked for a dive shop (in the 1990s), I got about an hours' instruction before I was set to work repairing and maintained Sherwoods Bruts. And that was about all I needed.

That said, I took a look at the Sherwood SR1 the other day, and I was completely out my depth.

Never seen the inside of a Zeagle.

Any good place to order the Zeagle spanners? Scubatoys? ZeagleExpress?

Ill put them on the site today.

Remember one spanner does all 1st stages EXCEPT the Flathead 6

The other does only the Flathead 6 (Yellow Handle)

Hi,

What about the Flathead XP? Does it use the standard spanner or the other one?

Thanks
