I was looking to pick up the DS-V/ZX regs from Scuba.com it says they are a Zeagle distributor and that all regs have a full warranty. First off is this true? Secondly, if I buy from Scuba.com and it comes to Canada does it null any warranties? Lastly, If I get it serviced at my local dive shop (who are a Zeagle dealer/repair) will this also uphold the warranty or do I need to ship it back to Scuba.com for all servicing to be done?

Thanks
Patrick

Keep your sales receipt to maintain your warranty
Scuba.com is an authorized dealer and your warranty should be valid.

Without a doubt Zeagle Express services Zeagle products on a regular basis from Canada.
There are no issues here.

In my case, I bought a Zeagle reg when I was in Texas (Scubatoys) and there is no problem with the warranty here in Canada. Like Gibby mentionned, as long as you have you receipt. Also, dont forget one thing : your reg must be overhaul every year if you want your life time warranty to be valide.

Thanks for all the info!

Gibby if i get the reg from Zeagle Express do they have the same lifetime part warranty like scuba.com or is it $22 for the labor (per reg) plus parts?

Let me jump in here for a second...

The "free parts policy" is a USA thing. If you buy the reg in the US, your Canadian repair shop is not obligated to give you free parts...however, if you decide to send it back to the USA for service, you are covered.

I just wanted to make that clear, so that you don't have any anger later.

We always appreciate it but you do not have to purchase the reg from ZE.
The parts kit is free if you provide proof that it was purchased from any authorized dealer.

Only labor and return shipping is charged unless it requires parts not covered under an annual due to damage.

Thanks Scott for clearing that up.

Gibby I was just looking at ZE and it doesn't allow me to ship outside of the states

I guess I'm lucky to have my reg bought in the US and serviced here in Canada with free parts. Like I said, the only thing they asked me is a prove of purchase. Like I mentioned, the free parts is good, as long as I have my reg service every year. If I missed one, I will have to pay for everything. Do you have the same policy in the US?

For my second reg, I bought it in Canada and I had been told by the sailer that I wont have to pay for parts as long as I have it service every year. So, it's not only a USA thing.

Scott, could you clarify is it's true that the warranty wont be valide anymore if I missed one overhaul or it's only marketing from DS?
