Hello all,

I'm sure this is not a unique situation, but wanted to get some second opinions on what course to take with this. I have a deep6 signature regulator that I've configured for my single tank setup with long hose running off the 5th port at an angle. Issue I'm running into is, with the wing set at the shoulder of the tank, there is almost no room between the wing and the tank valve for the hoses to route cleanly. A full wing puts a lot of torque on the first stage and traps the long hose in that gap. This is also an issue with the other hoses even though I don't have them attached in these photos. Lowering the wing any further and the tank sits way too high on my back and I hit my head on it. I have already lowered the unit as far as I can through loosening the shoulder straps and tightening the crotch to the point that the bottom of the plate is at the top of my butt. I have a couple options I'm debating and am curious what y'all would recommend.

1) use a different regulator that isn't as tall
2) use a different wing that is wider instead of taller (dive rite travel wing possibly)
3) use an STA that lets me get the whole rig lower on my back. The current placement of the slots in the plate and slots in my wing only allow for one combination of wing and plate height.

I've attached some photos to show what I'm talking about. Thank you all in advance for your thoughts.

the adapter will solve the gap problem. i always use it and my tank is either high or low - as i need to shift the weight

Does your LPI hose also have a problem coming off the turret on the other side? If not, why not just run your reg hose off the turret rather than the bottom port?

One of the reasons I use compact no turret firsts, an STA will help and you can then use different hole combinations.

Just an observation, obviously route your hoses however you please, but if it were me, I'd have the long hose route from a side port and have the 1st stage sit vertical. That way your LP hose should have enough room to clear the BC to route over your shoulder. I have seen folks get a longer BC hose as well, or even a LP adapter that screws into your LP port and puts the hose out at a 45 or 90 degree angle. Just some thoughts. Good luck!

The hoses all are "crammed" in between the wing and tank regardless of the first stage position vertical or at angle. I've tried vertical in the past and the issue is still there. Ultimately, its getting the wing out of the way that I need to solve either getting it lower on the cylinder (without the tank being too high so I don't hit my head), or changing the wing to something that doesn't have as much vertical air cell. Also could be the first stage not being great for this as another poster mentioned

have tried the first stage vertical. more clearance for the lpi, but the issue of clearance between the wing and tank is still there

do you have any recommendations for first stages? Going to for sure try it with a sta. Would this also be solved by getting a wing that isn't so tall? I've seen some that are more boxy
