Greetings,

I have two pieces of Tecline R2 first stages. I use them on my new twinset which consists of steel doubles (12x232). Everything in my setup is more or less brand new.

One thing I've noticed is that after the dives, when the pressure on the SPG shows somewhere less than 70-80 bars (around 1100 psi, for the American friends here), both regulators come a little loose where it attaches to the valve, before I close them and purge the second stages. It's not that much that it becomes completely loose, but loose enough to to be able to twist with some finger force.
Both sides and regulators are equally loose so to speak.

My LDS has already checked the DIN screws, they are tight (as the regulators are new).

My question is - is this dangerous? Can this cause leaks? I don't notice the first stages turning or anything during the dive, it's more noticable on the surface when checking by hand. My LDS says it's no problem. I was under the impression that the first stages should be rock hard until you purge the second stages after shutting down the valves, not just in the beginning of the dive when the tanks are full. My single set regulators before the twinset system has not behaved this way.

I posted this question to Tecline and they answered me in this manner:

"Thank you very much for your message and good video illustrating exactly what you mean.
Moving the regulators is not a problem (this is also the case with the filter flood protection systems - ACD).
Please check if at 50 bar in the cylinder it can equally freely spin the DIN connection screw?

Either way you can safely dive - the regulator will not unscrew or unseal."

Here's a short video that demonstrates what I mean:
