hi there,

I just wanted to ask if it is acceptable to attatch the octo, gauge and LP hose to my reg unit myself?- I have bought the equipment online and thought it was assembled-but als no!
Is it Ok to do it myself-it doesn't look too difficult.

It's not hard to assemble but the IP should be checked to make sure it's in range and the second stage may require tweaking (they usually do)

If you can change a spark plug you can handle this. Just remember that the O-ring is making the seal so the only thing you can really do wrong is over tighten the BRASS connecctions. Finger tight and a little bit of snugging is the way to go. Scubapro specs are 44 inch pounds or about 4 ft pounds - that's not much. If you get it too loose, it could leak and you will have to tighten them a bit more. If you get it too tight you can destroy the regulator and cause catostrophic failure. Go easy and you can't go too wrong.

You do want to lub the o-ring with an appropriate lub before tightening. Scilicone is OK with air but an O2 compatible lub should be use with nitrox. LDS should have some.
