Refresher course

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a good place to take a refresher course between Ventura and OC (the closer to LA the better)? I would like to find one that includes a beach or boat dive in addition to the pool session that isn't too pricey.

Refresher session with the pool exercises shouldn't be much more than $60. As far as beach dive goes, probably a shop that is really close to a shore diveable spot would be more amenable. I can think of two shops that are close to shore dives: Sea D Sea in Redondo Beach (diving at Veteran's Park just down the road), or Laguna Sea Sports in Laguna Beach and dive at Shaw's Cove/Diver's Cove/Fisherman's Cove.

But if you were to want the instructor to do a shore dive with you, then that'd cost extra. How much, I have no idea. Call these two shops and ask.

The shop that also owns the Raptor dive boat in Ventura Village has a pool and of course the Raptor boat. But any boat trip will cost you anywhere between $90-140 for the trip plus instructor's fee and probably instructor's boat fee as well. But since that the Raptor is owned by the same shop, maybe they will work out a deal for you.
