So, doctormike was posting a 5050 rig while I was typing, but I will add that the Camedia Zoom series also has a very good "beam assist" that does not work in an aluminum housing. That is also one of my theories on how to make a better Recsea housing (or Fix); Beam Assist Port.

The stock 5050 / PT-015 combo, without WAL & strobe, takes impressive "flash" pics in full auto...

That is the ultimate definition of P&S, IMHO. :D
 
Why recommend a budget busting package that includes a strobe when the guy likes to take picture of big stuff. All you need is a basic camera with underwater mode or manual WB. An external strobe will be useless when taking picture of the big stuff.

I think Sealife is kind of a easy to use type of camera with a couple of UW mode, but is limited in features, all for the sake of keeping it simple while you are underwater.
