Recommendations for Taveuni Dive Operators?

Hello all!

I am heading to Taveuni in July for 4 days of diving. Has anyone dived with the folks at Nakia Resort & Dive recently? Are there any other recommendations?

Also, people's general thoughts on Taveuni would be appreciated!

Who you dive with in Taveuni DOES depend on where you are staying.

If you are in Matei the last thing you want is the 1 hour drive down to ProDive at Paradise. Therefore if you are staying at Nakia, then dive with them. It'll be a LOT simpler.

(I think Jewel Bubbles is also still operating out of Matei)

The rainbow reef is spectacular but be aware there are significant currents there. That's why the marine life and reefs are so happy. You will learn to "duck and dodge" to find shelter from the currents. For some reason they don't seem to like drift dives so you will go through a lot of air fast on some dives. Certainly some great diving!
