Need to find a good place to finish up my diving certification hours in St. Barts. Any recommendations?

Vacationing in St. Barts soon and want to finish up my diving certifiction hours there. Any recommendations of good shops/instructors?

Thanks!

We have been to St Barths many times. We dive with Plongee Caraibes. Franck and Marion are the owners who are great people and have the best day dive boat in the Caribbean.
Franck is a great instructor, we took our open water with him. Very safe, very knowledgeable.
The diving in St. Barts is as good as anywhere.

Yeah, go to Saba. :D

This thread would have worked better in the Caribbean forum. You might try there.

It's been a few years since I was there on a Windjammer trip. We dived one tank with one there, but don't know his name. Met one other at the dock. It's just not a dive location really.

It's just not a dive location really? The diving in St. Barts is just as good as anywhere in the eastern Caribbean, except the restaurants are better.

8 Square Miles with 80 French Restaurants.
No crime, no poverty, all the beaches are topless, and did I mention and great diving?

It has the only protected underwater marine park in the Eastern Caribbean. We saw every type of marine life from Turtles, Rays, Sharks, Tarpon, ETC. Plus there is 3 wrecks, (one penetratable).

Just because there is no cattle boats does not mean it is a great dive spot.

Ah ok, like I said, I've only been there on Windjammer stops. Good to hear the diving is good. Can you give this fellow Instructor contacts?

I can confirm "No crime, no poverty, all the beaches are topless" plus a very interesting runway, and the road over to that side from the harbor. I know of one beach there where bottoms are optional. :11:

Ok, cool, it was moved to Caribbean. That's why you're getting better replies now, perhaps. :thumb:

I did a private class with a couple who were going to St Barts for referral. They had nothing but great fun grand things to say about the staff and operation at Plongee Caraibes. In their words "A positive underwater experience!'
