Will be in Sharm el-Sheikh from late September to early October and hoping to do 5 days of diving. Looking for updated recommendations for reliable land-based operator with smaller boats (ie max 12 divers) that is favored by experienced divers. Thanks.

I've always gone with Emperor Divers and have been very happy with their service.

The boats may be bigger than you need but given the state of the tourism industry in Egypt at present it's more than likely there will be fewer than 12 divers aboard... last trip I did (Feb) there were 3 divers from Emperor and 2 from Red Sea college sharing the boat.

Hi,

Sept - Oct is divers high season on the Red Sea you'll most likely find more than a handful on the boats, most operators run one boat and they take whoever they can get , snorkelers - sightseers especially when the sea is calm, money is money.

I have been with *Diving & Discovery* and with *Dive In* from the Iberotel Club Fanara and Marriott Renaissance in Ras Um El Sid.

The days are gone when underwater traffic was so intense you had to be careful not to loose your group especially at Ras Mohammed's Shark & Yolanda.
