Very nicest time to go to The Sandbar are the early morning trips There is something surreal about the North Sound as the day breaks. One morning my better half say a large hammerhead in full pursuit pass between himself and a buddy who works fir another company than who we were with. It was about 3 ft away from the other chap. Awesome trip. Very few if any cruisers go to the dive site.

Agree with caydiver. If you feel compelled to do stingray city, do it as a diver going to to dive SRC site and go early. The main SRC site can be quite a zoo with dozens of tour boats and way too many people in the water.

Ocean Frontiers does a Dawn Stringray trip that is awesome. It is Fridays at 6:30 a.m. It is early, but both the times that I have done it, we were the only ones out at that time. It is a great trip that I highly recommend.

Yes. RSS does it from the west side. There are inly a handful of ops that go in the early morning.and they all don’t go the same days. It is truly beautiful.
