Recommend a dive flag (at least 12x12 for florida)

Thanks again for the positive review. As for the Florida law regarding a stiffener.

YES, we are aware of that requirement and YES our flag and float is compliant with Florida Law for a diver towed dive flag.

We offer an inexpensive reel with 150 ft line capacity. As mentioned above, in strong currents you are normally going to want to let out a lot of line, often 2 or more times the depth, so this reel may not be suitable for deeper depths.

A work around is to have 50 feet or so of extra floating line between the float and the reel line, but when you ascend you will be that distance from the float.

The currents in South Florida (from maybe Boca Raton to Fort Pierce) are often much too strong for the use of a typical "dive flag and float" - since the current will pull the entire flag and float underwater.
