I ended up too close to a bullshark feeding frenzy. The recreational dive trip had one hack spearfisher. He wounded a grouper (I didn't know that until I was back on the boat) and the sharks appeared from out of nowhere. I switched to OC to get out of that spot. Exciting, but I don't want to do that again.

I don't know whether "awesome" can describe your experience, but that's a wonderful story. Look on the bright side - what you saw in real life people typically watch on the Discovery Channel. You had a truly marvelous and unforgettable experience.

I was using my gopro as a deflector so I did get some great photos. Mixing spearfishers and non spearfishers on the same recreational trip is a suboptimal idea in my opinion.

Let us see if this works out or not...
On my Meg out at the Hebe off of SC in late April of last year.

Edit: I dumped the video on to YouTube.

Why not export your photo to a file and upload it from there?

I'm not a rebreather diver, but when I am freediving, I see 100x more sharks than when I'm using SCUBA. No exaggeration. We have A LOT of sharks here, but you wouldn't know it. Mainly bronze whalers, but other species too. They make their presence known when I'm spearfishing, but I've only rarely seen them on SCUBA and then it's only a fleeting glimpse.

Sharks like food and hate bubbles! Who'd have thought? It's funny that the one animal most SCUBA divers want to see is scared off by SCUBA.

You can export videos too. It will end up as IMG_xxxx.mov.

Had similar experience with dolphins in a place called Monkey Mia which is located in Shark Bay, about half- way up the Western Australian coast, just up the road from Perth.

Every time I was in the water on OC, they disappeared. When I was in the water with just facemask, snorkel and fins, they were all over me. Even the baby dolphins came in close with the mothers.
