Came across this, I have no idea about age or collectibility but was just curious is this worth the $2500USD asking price? Seems ridiculous to me but then I have no knowledge of vintage(?) SP gear. Cheers

Stuff is worth what folks are willing to pay. That is the only determination of value. It can change from year to year based on the fads (interests) of that year.

Nope my math is correct, you need to check yours..... 1 yen is equal to $.0085 (rates as of today ) So if the value is stated in yen (2500) that is $21.26 USD

Just for clarity, in my post I wrote $2500USD the USD meaning US dollars. The buy now price is ¥298,000JPY. So more or less $2500 american dollars hence my surprise at the asking price. Wondered if I was missing something and maybe these BCs were made with gold. Cheers.
