Add this to the litany of reasons why it's best for my own sake to never be cave certified:

Having just hit both coal chute caverns in one dive, I was chatting with my buddies and have come to a shocking discovery. Back in March, we dove one of the caverns (jump to 2:43):

We dove it again in May 2009 (jump to 1:10):

The thing is, despite obvious and signature differences, it never occurred to me that these were entirely different caverns (the March one is at 2:27 below, the May one is at 2:55):

If you ever dive with me and are in the process of choosing a captain/navigator to get you to the site and back safely, remember this thread, and decide wisely :D

Don't sell yourself short. You did a terrific job of navigating the other day.

You only think he did. Really he meant to hit the other spots...

On 1/2/10, we headed out for 3 Sisters, ascended when we missed HITW and found ourselves at GPW :)

Get your story straight, Kenn. You were leading an exploration dive.

LOL. Every dive is a discovery dive!

"Don't sell yourself short, you're a tremendous slouch."

As long as you know the way safely back home - are you really lost?

I think Kenn finds the Leopard sharks by boldly going where no one else ventures - he plots his own unique path!

I definitely learned some new navigation by diving with him :).
