Most torches are exaggerating its LUMEN in DEMA show, how do you find its precise performance?
ANSI-NEMA FL-1 STANDARD
The purpose of the standard is to allow consumers to make apples-to-apples comparisons of lights and to eliminate exaggerated light performance by quoting "emitter lumens" or "out-the-front lumens". The tests can be performed by the manufacturer or an independent lab. The necessary equipment and calibration makes this an expensive undertaking.
How BRIGHTSTARTW test the Lumen and WHERE?
Using an integrating sphere, the actual lumen or light output and run-time is precisely measured. That’s how BRIGHTSTARTW show the real lumen (light output) numbers on the paper, instead of exaggerating for more orders.
