Re: Boston New England Dive Options

Hi all,Im new to the forum here. I just wanted to ask this question and see what is out there. Im thinking of visiting my brother who lives in Boston. Hopefully he will get certified this winter so we can go diving this coming July. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some good dive locations. Since he will be a new diver, I would like to find some sites that would be suitable for that level. This brings me to my last question. I live in St. Louis, and have dove at Bonne Terre Mine about six times. I had a full wet suit, hood, gloves about 7mm, and was okay. Is this the kind of exposure protection I need for the Boston, New England area. I would be visiting Boston in July. Thanks for the assistance.

Lots of people dive in this area in wetsuits during the summer. For beginner sites, I suggest you look at www.capeanndivers.com. There are literally dozens of easily accessible shore dives in the area plus several charters that go out to shallow sites.
