Well, the job's not so strange ... the employee is.

I start my day at 4:15 AM, get to work around 6 AM and get off around 3:15. I work a basic office job (tech writer), and the choice of hours is mine. It accommodates being at the dive site by 4:30 or 5 PM (depending on the dive site), and home by 7:30 quite nicely.

The answer to PC's question is simply this ... I schedule the rest of my life activities in such a way as to accommodate my diving. It's a matter of priorities. Oh ... and I don't have a family to dictate them ...
