Was there a Scubaboard conference in Tahiti in September or what???
Seems like I'm the only one here who hasn't been there.... yet :)

Jim: did you have a chance to dive the Fakarava area aboard the Aggressor? if you did, how does it compare to Rangiroa / Manihi?

David, we want to see this photograph with 30 sharks on it :D

Cheers,

No, we didn't do Fakarava. We should have been there on Thursday but unfortunately we had to return to rangiroa a day early as the owner of the boat & 1 other had to get back to Tahiti for important bizniz. We did Rangiroa, Apataki & Toau atolls.

I did not get to Manihi either.

I guess missing Fakarava is quite all right, since Rangiroa, Apataki & Toau sound like a pretty good combination!! :D

David: this shark picture of yours is UNBELEIVABLE!!!

Visibility must have been astounding on this dive!!

Actually, we were all pretty disappointed not to get to Fakarava - apparantly the pass there is awesome....

Funnily enough, on the days we were at Rangiroa we never had the shark encounters that David obviously did. One of the joy of that kind of diving, I suppose. You'll have to wait for my scanner to come back from the menders so I can do my Tahiti report and tell you about what happened at Apataki!!!! :)
