In a nutshell: Was a noob, trusted the LDS and they sold me an XL/XL Ranger harness. Going by teh zeagle fitment charts, I should be in a Med/Med. It's taken three years for me to realize that I purchased poorly so I think my recourse is fairly limited: Sell the BC and buy a new one. I don't feel right about going back to the LDS and raising hell as the buck stopped with me and I handed it over.

Others in that thread suggested I touch base here for other options, so here ya go...

I think your first thought was the correct one...

3 years after the fact is a long time to go back and try to have an issue resolved.

I would suggest that you either try to sell it on here, in the members sale forums, or put it up on ebay, then get a BC that fits you correctly.

Or...you could use the exsisting bladder and purchase a new vest section and shoulder sections, which would probably be in the $350 range.

If you were one size off, I would suggest adding a full lumbar pad to take us some room, but needing a MD and owning an XL is probably too much to overcome for that method.

Best of luck to you, and sorry for your troubles!!!

Scott
