Marineland is my all time favorite shore dive site. There is so much to see on the reefs off Long Point and along the way back to the cove. For a shorter swim, the 120 Reef offers shallow diving with the usual animals found nearshore around Palos Verdes. Two main entry points are from the cove and the point. Each requires skill at rock entries/exits and sometimes a lot of luck. There have been three deaths here as well as several broken bones. If the waves are over two feet, it would be prudent to dive elsewhere.

From Palos Verdes Drive South, turn onto Terranea Way and park in the public parking lot. It is wise to walk down to the stairs above the restrooms/shower to check out conditions before gearing up.
