Has anyone have any experience of shore-based diving from Raja Ampat? I am keen to go there in mid 2007 and would like some info. I have a fair bit of Indonesian diving under my belt ( Manado, Bali, Wakatobi, Sangalaki, Lembeh), but would like to move a bit further East. If anyone has used the Papua-Diving operator, I would be very plaesed to hear from them. From their website, to would appear that their Kri Eco resort is fairly basic, but I am not easily scared.

Can anyone help????

we droped a diver there and had a look around. yes, it is very very basic. but food is supposed to be very good. just about a mile away, the same owner has a more luxurious resort. the way i understand it, mainly for japonese people. the strange thing is, due to the religion of the owner - no diving on saturdays. but he gladly shows you jungel and birds ;-))

we did the area on a lob. quite good - however i would not say these are the best dive sites i have seen.
