The soft coral capital of the world was pretty much destroyed by Cyclone Winston in 2016. Of course the big live-aboard companies are still trying to sell their wares - boats got to be filled regardless. Search under Fiji on this board and read my full report of my charter there last year with Aggressor. Bottom line I would strongly recommend against diving in Fiji
 
Just came back from Raja Ampat and I'm already planning on another trip back :)

I went with Raja Ampat Aggressor, and it was a well organised LOB and most of the crew members genuinely try to assist you wherever they could.
 
Just did an Xmas/New Years 11 day trip on the MSY Seahorse in Raja. Was an amazing trip. Great boat, dive guides, crew and cruise director. Actually became friends with one of the dive guides and cruise director. The Canadian dive guide has the most passion for marine life I've ever seen. The other local Papuan guide can find absolutely everything there is to find in Raja. Cost was $4400USD for 11 days for a shared cabing.
