Serious rains 9/11 days so far, but that view provided by the CCV webcam is spectacular! It is helping to cool off the very high water temps. The coral needs a cold shower!

I was there last week....the rain had dropped the water temp by 4°
It is/was usually a predictable 82 degrees before the ptolnged heat wave. It came down 4 degrees to what?

Wednesday 17oo hrs, returning from the 2nd afternoon boat drop-off dive:

Think Patty said it was around 88/89° before we got there. It was around 85° according to my computer.

We received 15" of rain in 3 days last week on Utila and forecast is saying 5-6" more over the next 2-3 days.

1. Western Caribbean Sea (AL97):
A broad area of low pressure continues to produce a large area of
disorganized showers and thunderstorms across the western Caribbean
Sea and into Central America. Further development of this system
appears unlikely before it moves inland over Central America later
tonight or on Saturday.
